RSPB | DESIGN AND DIGITAL EFFECTS In the past few decades, Sumatra's lowland forests have shrunk dramatically from 16 million hectares in 1900 to just over half a million hectares today. In 2006, the RSPB launched a fundraising campaign - Save the Sumatran Rainforest - to fund a massive project to restore and protect 110,000 hectares of the lowland rainforest. We were asked to design and produce the digital effects for a DVD to be sent to their members, which includes photos, graphics, animation and audio. The campaign has been hugely successful and in 2008 the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry confirmed that over 10 organisations have followed RSPB's lead and applied for ecosystem restoration licenses, totalling over 1 million hectares. |
